Due to extra work and sickness, we were not able to do the blog for a couple of weeks, but now we are back with a topic that many people ask about.

The following is a list of our favorite street food in San Miguel de Allende. They are not in any order. I am sure that you have other places in mind that you have tried and it is fine for you to share in the comment section below.

Mesones right behind San Francisco Church

This taco stand has been around for years and is very popular among locals and tourists alike. They have your favorites: bistec (beef), pastor (pork), etc. It is so good even the baloon guy gets his tacos here!

In Jardin close to La Parroquia

This burger stand has been tried out many a time after a few drinks in the nearby bars. I believe it is a great place to avoid hangovers. The burgers are great, cheap and it has a great view! They also serve hot dogs and french fries.

Corner of Nemesio Diez & Ancha San Antonio

This a great find as it is harder to locate burritos late at night. If you go to the corner of Nemesio Diez and Ancha a little bit after dark you will find great and reasonable burritos to eat there or bring home. You won't be disappointed. They are open everyday but Sundays and Mondays (which is why we couldn't take a photo).

Sterling Dickinson right in front of Plaza Pueblito (where there is a train in the parking lot)

This taco stand is a little further out but worth it. It has been around for a long time and is a great place to visit to stave off your hunger pains at night. They have all the favorites and it is covered so you can eat there or take home.

Salida A Celaya close to Hotel Casona

This burger stand popped up as a project of the brothers that live on the property and operate a mechanic's shop in the day. It soon became so popular that what started as one or two days is now available Friday through Monday 7PM to Midnight. They have regular burgers but sometimes they have delicious specials and now offer chicken wings. You can eat there or take home.
