La Lejona

La Lejona is a newer neighborhood located on the southern (flat) part of San Miguel de Allende. The neighborhood features contemporary spacious homes but maintains the colonial feel of the older parts of the city. The streets are cobblestone and the buildings are colorful. The district is just about a kilometer from the center of town, about a thirty minute walk. It is about a twenty minute walk to the Institute Allende. A convenient city bus (40 cents) passes one short block from the house and runs every 15 minutes up Ancha San Antonio to the Institute and the center of town. There are restaurants and markets nearby. It is but a short walk to the golf course. A significant advantage of the neighborhood is that it is quiet.
